  This place has clearly changed over recent history, as I do not doubt that many people have had positive experiences here over the years and they have loyal customers, but our cat Margot did NOT have a pleasant experience. When we picked her up she had tats in her mane for clear serious neglect, that were so bad the skin beneath them was raw. I was told that she had them when she arrived, which I was dumbfounded to hear at the time as I know it isnt true. The knots have clearly been allowed to grow with no attempt to resolve the issue. She was clearly distressed. She is a long haired cat and needs regular brushing, which unfortunately she did not get. I think the facility is too full for the single staff member, as I dont doubt that she tries hard and that she loves the cats. However, our experience was very very unpleasant. When we called to complain, the response I received from Ray was gobsmacked. He called me a liar, shouted at me, and then hung up. I am so traumatised that my cat was left with so little attention that this happened that I am shaken. When my partner called back, Ray called him a f****** t***. So do not believe that this little old man is as nice as he would like you to think! Very rude and very deluded. He told me when I booked that his was the best cattery in the south west, and did not have a single bad review, which now when I read the reviews I see is not true. Read the other negative reviews and you will see my experience is not unique. Please avoid this place until Ray sorts things out after suffering a personal tragedy. There are better catteries available near Bristol.
